Don’t have a Zune, but I’m with Roddick…if it has a USB out, I imagine you’re gold.

Question. I was reading reviews and I read that when you hit shuffle it will only shuffle the folders. Unless all the songs are in the root folder, it will only shuffle the albums. This is for the flash drive at least. This true????

That would be the intuitive approach, alas, that’s not the way it is. To get your presets, you push the search button, then rotate the right knob to highlight, and finally push the knob to select. That part of it is way more trouble than I’m used to on a stereo, but they didn’t put any preset buttons on it, so that’s the way.

Pushing left or right on the knob will advance in either direction to the next receivable station in scan mode, or step through the dial in manual.

Pushing up on the knob cycles through the three FM settings (to allow you up to 18 presets) and pushing down gets you between AM and FM.

depends on the car and if it has a factory amplifed system, but usually you can just tag it off the rear speaker output behind the deck. coloring varies from car to car, need more info for colors. or you can just grab it directly off the speakers in the car if you can get to them.

I've done this in my shop.

You'll need a small 12V DC power supply. 2-3 amps is usually enough unless it's really a high powered deck. You'll will also need a cheap car antenna to get any sort of reception. That's 'bout it.

Mine is hooked into a large amp I had around for years…not a car amp…a home amp…and I used speakers I built. It's a rockin' shop.

You can use presets with one button! Click the tiny button under the red glow in the top left until it says “Auto 2″. Then when you press the control knob right, it moves up one preset, press to the left, it moves back one preset!

not positively sure ……go to a local best buy or similar store that sell,s aftermarket unit,s……they install these universal unit,s every day……they would know for sure…..I don,t see why not…..should your original unit fail….I don,t see Toyota replacing any more than necessary…..may look as though it,s one piece….but it,s probably intended to to keep you from changing it………….most manufacture,s want you to go back to their dealer,s for everything.

Very nice review. Does it have something like a “Blackout mode”, which turns all the lights (display and buttons) off ?

Yes they are right , is best to use an aftermarket radio with pre amp outputs since line output converters create distortion and noise. I had one in my system and it was driving me crazy.

All those have good ones if you want it to sound great get a signal processor like the 360 from Fosgate but if your on a budget i’ve had two sony headunits and they’re pretty good, i’d get one with aux input but i’m not sure unless you get the base unit i think they all have that
